The Walchem WCTW100PNA controller provides automated conductivity control for commercial and industrial cooling towers. It monitors cooling water conductivity and controls system bleed based on programmed settings. As a result, operators can maintain more consistent cooling tower water conditions.

Automatic Conductivity and Bleed Control

The Walchem WCTW100PNA controller measures conductivity in the recirculating cooling water. Conductivity provides an indication of the concentration of dissolved ions in the water.

When conductivity rises above the programmed setpoint, the controller can activate the connected bleed equipment. This process removes concentrated water from the cooling tower. Fresh makeup water can then replace the discharged water. Therefore, the system can maintain conductivity within the desired operating range.

Programmable Biocide Control

The WCTW100PNA also includes programmable biocide control functions. Operators can schedule biocide feed cycles based on the requirements of the water treatment program.
