Mixed Metals Removal

When trying to remove mixed metals in a waste treatment application, it may be beneficial to use a Heavy Metal Precipitant (HMP). There are many technologies that may benefit your application.

FAQ

Q. When using a HMP, is pH adjustment still necessary?
A. Every application is different and I have seen a reduced need for pH adjustment. Utilizing HMP’s at the pH that promotes metal precipitation is usually the most efficient method. Please note that you do not want to use many HMP’s at pH levels less than neutral—toxic gas can be formed.

Q. Will HMP’s help when metals are chelated?
A. Yes, HMP’s can help you break chelant bonds and precipitate metals.
